VUKA ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK was launched in 2013 by Grace Mashabela Consulting and Radipolelo Entrepreneurship Consulting and in partnership with several visionary stakeholders and contributors the likes of the National Youth Development Agency, JUNTO TV, Rihanyo Seminars, The Hope Factory and others. This initiative was aimed at creating awareness amongst start-up entrepreneurs, particularly black entrepreneurs, of the observation and celebration of GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK.
VUKA or VEW as it came to be known, kicked off with a Power Breakfast hosted for carefully selected and exclusively invited entrepreneurs with entrepreneurial ideas and visions that could change lives and redefine the world around them. The following remaining days were then dedicated to the Vuka Conference which boasted an array of speakers, activities and programmes for start up and high growth entrepreneurs alike.
VUKA returns in 2014 as VEW14, aiming to grow the brand even further, attract more and bigger public sector and corporate partnerships, recognize entrepreneurial excellence amongst black start-ups and join the global movement to commemorate entrepreneurial excellence (Global Entrepreneurship Week).
